THE STORY BEHIND CAITLIN’S CORNER

Caitlin Harbin-Gould lived her thirty years with an infectious sense of humor and a heart that knew no bounds. Caitlin's journey was one of courage and determination as she walked the path of recovery from substance use disorder with unwavering strength, her laughter a balm to the heart, and her jokes a gentle reminder that hope is never lost.

A native of Evans and a proud graduate of Lakeside High School, Caitlin's dream was to give back to a place that resonated with her own story of resilience—Hope House. She was proud of her recovery journey, a path she walked with dedication, becoming a beacon of hope for many. Caitlin was on the cusp of joining our team, eager to start her role and make a difference when her journey took an unexpected turn, and she entered into eternal rest. It's a blessing to everyone who loved her that she lived her life until her final breath as a person in recovery, a testament to her strength and commitment to her values.

"Caitlin's Corner" is more than just a project; it's a testament to a life lived with joy and a legacy of the impact one soul can make. Through this serene outdoor space, featuring the very rocking chairs that symbolize moments of peace Caitlin cherished, we aim to honor her memory.

This corner will be a sanctuary, a place of laughter and comfort, where the values Caitlin held dear continue to inspire healing and hope. As the rocking chairs sway gently in the breeze, we'll remember Caitlin's spirit—forever a part of the Hope House family, forever a symbol of love and laughter without judgment.
